Pamela (Pam) Louise Mayo Holloway, age 61 passed away on January 24, 2021 in Lake Elsinore, Ca. Pam was raised in Leesville, Louisiana. She and her son moved to Texas in her early twenties where she met and married and added 3 daughters to her family. In 2000 the family moved to California. Pam was always up for adventure. The irony in her adventures was her sense of direction was the worst, she always got lost. She was a nonjudgmental person and would allow leniency in her friends that endured them to her. She created an air around herself that would make you feel as if you held her full attention. Her friendships were lifelong. She would give everything she had to help someone in need, sometimes to the detriment of herself. She had a big heart for people and animals. There was rarely a time she didn’t have some fluffy little dog at her side. There were more than one, but every one of them were her babies. She enjoyed craft projects which expressed her artsy side, but then she would pick up a book and become engrossed with the story and sometimes read through the night. Her pride was in her family and especially her grandchildren. The most special moment for her was being present for the birth of her last grandchild. She would say it was the highlight of her life to witness his birth. There were no limits to her ability to spoil a child with her love and attention. One very fond memory this friend has of her is a trip we took to Padre Island with a group of friends. We hopped over to Mexico for some “shopping” and of course we ended up lost in the streets, tired, hungry and thirsty. One person in the group had purchased a really large vase and somehow convinced Pam to carry it for her. I can still see her face as we wandered through the hot city streets and as the day wore on Pam was still carrying someone else’s purchase. She was not a happy camper. But the best memory of that trip is us actually dancing in the streets. I still laugh when I think of that trip.
