Peter Henderson Beardsley May 21, 1941 - November 24, 2021
Thanksgiving, a most appropriate time for Peter to pass. We are filled with gratitude for him teaching us laughter and joy, the most precious gifts of all.
An extraordinary ordinary man of many talents - bartender, pilot, restauranteur, wine shop owner, charmer, story teller, world traveler, music lover, singer, smooth dancer, and 3 million plus miler as a long-haul owner/operator.
Peter had an unmatched way with timing, luck and generosity. A humorous and loving soul who was as comfortable eating dinner with the Supreme Court Justices as he was chatting with the servers. He made everyone feel special but he truly was the special one.
A fierce and loyal defender of family and friends. And, at the same time, as stubborn as his pet bulldogs. Peter always said never bet against him and, in betting with him, we all won too.
We are so looking forward to reading your stories about Peter.

One of the best things about working at CUIAB with Nancy, was getting to know Peter as well. He was such an upbeat person! Always ready with a joke and quip. He will be missed.

Dear Uncle Peter,
I knew somehow that you would manage to get away with not paying me all that money I won from you back in back in 1975. No worries though - I'll catch up with you one of these days when I get to the place where all of the best folks end up. Just do me a favor will you? Don't go tearing up heaven with dad - I'd like to not get kicked out before I even get there. I love you fiercely.

Peter, I know you would find my futile attempt to say a few serious words about you ,extremely funny. So for the rest of the folks, l'll try to keep it simple. Pete Beardsley, you can't even say it without smiling. There aren't enough words in the dictionary for me to describe him, I will leave that up to the rest of you. I would just say he was the epitome of the phrase : One of a kind: and I'm proud to include him on my list of best friends. Pete if you're listening, I really meant it when I said you married up! Thank you for the good times I'm really gonna miss you. Your friend Everett
